Katie Stewart, MA, LPC, LCPC, NCC
Katie (She/her/hers) obtained her Bachelor of Psychology and Sociology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and her Masters of Arts in Counseling with a Mental Health emphasis from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Katie is a licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Kansas. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor. Katie has been working in mental health since 2013 in outpatient and inpatient settings. Katie started working with eating disorders as an intern therapist for McCallum Place and as a Direct Care and Primary Therapist. She re-joined McCallum Place in 2023 after providing outpatient eating disorder therapy. Katie provides individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and meal support. She is passionate about dismantling diet culture, meeting patients where they are, and using a Health At Every Size (HAES), trauma-informed, person-centered perspective to empower patients towards a life of recovery. Katie uses an eclectic approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and experiential modalities. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, playing disc golf, and Disney Emoji Blitz. In addition, she is also an avid Royals fan.
