Tammy Cook, MS, RD, LD, CEDRD
Tammy earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Missouri State University and Masters of Science in Dietetics from St. Louis University, graduating with honors from both universities. Shortly after finishing her education, she started a private practice working with eating disorder patients. In addition to her lengthy eating disorder experience, Tammy has also taught nutrition at the university level;, consulted at Washington University, John Burroughs school; the Genesis Institute; the National Foodservice Management Institute of the University of Mississippi (involved speaking nationally about eating disorders); and the Salvation Army (foodservice division). Early in her career she also worked in the areas of nutrition support, bariatric nutrition, home health, corporate wellness, fitness and home health. Tammy is currently a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Tammy has completed FBT (Family Based Treatment) training and is one of only two dietitians in the region who have accomplished this. October of 2017 Tammy obtained her certification as an eating disorder specialist. She is 1 of 4 dietitians in the state of Missouri to have obtained this certification. In addition, Tammy is now a facilitator for The Body Project which was developed by NEDA.
