Michelle Laging PT, DPT, CPPC, CEDS-S
A Doctor of Physical Therapy since 2008, Dr. Michelle was the thought leader for the Physical Therapy mobility program at the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health. She proudly served the Denver Health and ACUTE patient population until 2019, at which time she was compelled to create her private practice, Movement is Medicine Physical Therapy & Wellness. The year 2022 marks an exciting addition to her work as she joins the amazing team of The Victory Program at McCallum Place as a remote physical therapy consultant.
Dr. Michelle blends her background as a yoga and fitness instructor with her physical therapy skills for rehabilitation and injury prevent to encourage clients to participate in movement and “healthy” reconnection with the body. She has been published in The Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy and was a contributing text editor for Pathology: Implications for The Physical Therapist. She is a member of iaedp, an inconsistent member of the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association), and a member of the Global Pelvic Health Alliance (GPHAM). At the beginning of the COVID-pandemic, she studied to become a Certified Pre and Postnatal Coach (CPPC) through Girls Gone Strong. Recently, she just finished the fourth class in a series of pelvic health education through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and is a pelvic health provider as well!
In her free time, Dr. Michelle enjoys exploring the various programs on the Peloton, has several Colorado 14’er’s in her sights for hiking this summer, and spends the rest of the time chasing around her 2 kids, dog, and husband.
