Christopher Bachmann, BSMT
Christopher Bachmann earned his Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Maryville University. After completing his degree from Maryville University, Christopher completed his clinical internship at St. Louis University Cancer & Research Center, focusing on the use of classical cello and guitar to address the emotional stress and trauma undergone by the families and the patients diagnosed with varying types of blood cancers, as well as patients undergoing transfusions and bone marrow transplants. In addition to his work in the St. Louis Cancer and Research Center, Christopher would work on the Geriatric-Psychiatric Unit for St. Louis University Hospital. This combined experience from working in mental health and the medical field has pushed Christopher into providing a developing his own therapeutic style, focused on using music to improve and maintain overall physical and mental health for patients through non-invasive, music-based interventions. In addition to his work at McCallum, Christopher is active in the music therapy community, serving as Social Media Coordinator and Technology Committee Chair for the St. Louis Music Therapy Association.
