Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Options:
McCallum Place offers a one-of-a-kind approach to IOP: a Phase I and a Phase II for gradual step down or step up from outpatient to promote lasting recovery. Both IOP options are 3 hours in length, offered up to 6 days per week with a schedule to accommodate those who work or are in school, and include weekly sessions with an individual therapist and dietitian.
Phase 1 & Phase 2 Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
In our IOP program, patients practice real life skills and challenges while living in our transition house or at home. This program is offered Monday through Saturday and includes two psychotherapy groups, weight and behavioral monitoring, one meal group each day, and weekly sessions with both an individual therapist and dietitian.
Phase 1 offers an additional, more tailored step-down option from PHP into IOP programming or step-up from outpatient. When ready, patients in Phase 2 have the opportunity to practice food preparation, grocery shopping and eat supported meals at local restaurants with recovery coaches. Groups offered at this level of care help with plans to return to school or work and independent living.
Families and loved ones are encouraged to attend our weekly support group on Mondays from 4:30pm-5:30pm as well as the monthly Family Day held on the second Saturday of every month. These family supports are free for life to all loved ones.
Programming Includes:
- CBT once/wk. with Dr. Flannery, Ph.D
- Daily groups and meal support
- One individual therapy session per week with either John Rapp, MSW, LCSW or Caroline Leibman, BC-DMT, NCC
- One individual dietitian session per week with Jenny Maniaci, RD, LD
