When is
Payment Due and How Much Money Will I Need Up Front?
A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is
required prior to admission to reserve a spot. This
money will be applied to the cost of treatment after
admission.
A prepayment equal to 14 days at the admission level of
treatment is required at admission when entering any of
our programs. Actual costs will vary slightly based on
services provided. Account balances will be adjusted
accordingly. For example, if you step down to a less
expensive level of care before two weeks are up you will
have a credit balance at the end of that period which
can be applied to future treatment costs or refunded to
you if you are ready to leave the program.
What is
included in the fees?
The
facility fee for residential and partial
hospitalization programs includes individual psychiatrist visits,
physician supervision, treatment planning, individual
counseling, group therapies, meals, meal support,
dietitian visits, and outings. The fee does NOT include
medications, lab work, and visits to any other medical
facilities or spending money.
Our fee for intensive outpatient treatment includes two
groups, one therapeutic meal, treatment planning, weight
and vital signs monitoring, and dietitian supervision.
Individual sessions with therapists, dieticians and
psychiatrists are not included.
Will My Insurance Cover the
Cost of Treatment?
McCallum Place is not licensed as a Medicare or Medicaid
provider.
McCallum Place is a network provider for many types of
Blue Cross and Cigna Insurance. If you have some form of
Blue Cross or Cigna Insurance, please consult with your
insurance company to see if your treatment at McCallum
Place will be covered under your individual policy.
Patients who are covered under Blue Cross or Cigna are
not required to prepay and we will deal directly with
your insurance company for payment for all treatment
authorized by your insurance company.
For those patients who do not have Blue Cross or Cigna
insurance, some or all of the cost of treatment may
still be covered by your insurance company. Patients who
are not covered under either Blue Cross or Cigna
insurance are expected to pay that the time of
treatment. McCallum Place will submit claims on your
behalf to your insurance company so that you may receive
reimbursement from your insurance company up to the
limits of your insurance coverage. You will need to keep
your account with McCallum Place current and lack of
reimbursement from your insurance company will not be
considered justification for non-payment.
We will attempt to pre-certify treatment with your
insurance company when appropriate. There is often a
delay of several weeks or even months before your
insurance company will reimburse you for the cost of
treatment. Almost all of our patients receive some level
of reimbursement from their insurance companies but
insurance reimbursement varies widely by company and
coverage type. It is a good idea to consult your
insurance company directly prior to admission to
determine what level of insurance reimbursement you can
expect.
