Title: Patient Accounts Representative (Medical Billing and Collection)
Classification: Non-Exempt
Status: Full-Time
Reports To: CFO
SUMMARY: Responsible for contacting insurance
companies regarding outstanding account receivables as well
as patient financially responsible parties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Contacts all insurance companies that have outstanding
account receivables to collect payment or resolve any issues
preventing payment from being issued.
2. Communicates with patients/families/financially
responsible parties concerning outstanding account balances.
3. Performs insurance benefit verifications.
4. Posts all demographic information into the billing system
for accounts to be created once a patient has admitted.
5. Provides clear and accurate documentation of all contacts
with any internal or external persons concerning patient
accounts.
6. Demonstrates professional conduct, concern, respect and
compassion toward all patients, families, co-workers and the
public as a representative of McCallum Place.
7. Demonstrates the ability to organize and complete
assignments
8. Demonstrate knowledge of both UB04 and HCFA 1500 forms.

Title: Direct Care Staff Nurse

SUMMARY: Provides direct patient care to maintain
each patient’s physical and psychological safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Upholds and enforces patient’s privileges in accordance
with their treatment plan, level of care and program
guidelines.
2. Provides accurate and ongoing assessment of patient’s
status, responds to and communicates this appropriately.
3. Provides one-on-one assistance to patients in crisis.
4. Accurately documents in shift progress notes and
nutritional flow sheets.
5. Dispense medication in accordance with policy. Ensure
vital signs and weights are completed.
6. Orients new patients to the program as assigned.
7. Attends to the nutritional and dietary needs of the
patients. Provides support, redirection, and monitoring at
meals.
8. Performs medical procedures as directed by physician
orders.
9. Demonstrate professional conduct, concern, respect and

Title: Dietician, Registered

Reports To: Nutrition Coordinator
SUMMARY: Dietitians at McCallum Place serve to provide clinical nutrition assessment and recommendations to the treatment team and to guide the patient and their family from disordered eating towards a healthier relationship with food and their body.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes admission nutrition assessments within 24 hours of admission on assigned patients, to determine initial caloric intake and nutrition goals.
- Works in cooperation with Medical Director to safely re-feed malnourished or unstable patients in a safe and consistent manor.
- Meets with assigned patients bi-weekly to evaluate progress, set goals, assess problems, provide education and develop a therapeutic alliance.
- Meets with patient families as needed for education and discharge planning.
- Provides direction to staff regarding problem solving around portion sizes, meal substitutions, and other nutritional concerns.
- Reassesses nutritional needs throughout treatment, and presents recommendations to treatment team at treatment team meetings.
- Acts as a meal therapist at patient meals both at McCallum Place and off-site on restaurant outings.
- Facilitates nutrition and meal planning groups.
- Demonstrates the ability to organize and complete assignments.
- Demonstrates professional conduct, concern, respect and compassion toward all patients, families, co-workers and the public as a representative of McCallum Place.

Title: Operations Health Services Manager
Classification: Exempt
Status: Full Time
Reports To: COO/Clinical Director
SUMMARY:
The Operations Health Services Manager supervises, and
manages the operational and administrative functions, and
activities, of McCallum Place, an eating disorder clinic.
This position provides leadership and administration in
planning, organizing, managing and coordinating human and
fiscal resources for information technology, food services,
administrative and support staff. Actively participates in
project management and organizational strategic planning as
a member of the management team.
Monitors delivery of patient services to include reviewing
client activity data and forecasts and prepares for all
changes needed or impacted by patient load,
billing/collecting procedures, and government regulations
and policies. Maintains on-site medical records
administration and ensuring that all state and federal
regulations governing the release of information is
followed. Responsible for development, implementation and
oversight of State Mental Health and Joint Commission
Accreditation process. Creates a sense of organizational
urgency for improving client and employee satisfaction and
creating public awareness of McCallum Place’s services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with the CFO /billing personnel to conduct and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, and coordinating financial reporting
- Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities information technology, human resources, administrative and support staff, food services, and other personnel
- Participates in strategic business, and financial planning that includes operations budget preparation, forecasting and monitoring.
- Develops and manages departmental budgets, allocates funds within the budget and ensures that departments operate within budget.
- Develops productive working relationships in the health care community that includes health care providers, regulatory and accreditation bodies and psychiatric/physician staff.
- Directs all billing and collecting procedures, to include appropriate coding and ensuring that staff are trained and educated in all government, national, and medical coding and billing regulations.
- Manages space planning, renovation, facility maintenance personnel and all facility allocation.
- Participates in business development and analysis.
- Reviews, coordinates, and develops internal policies and procedures and update as needed.
- Leads process in defining and meeting electronic medical records objectives. Includes managing process analysis, development and implementation project phase, oversees daily operation and clinical objects are attained within budget constraints.
- Establishes and maintains on-site medical records administration and ensuring that all state and federal regulations governing the release of information is followed.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring the departments’ operations and its programs, and initiating changes where required.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Management or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

- Demonstrated experience in Joint Commission accreditation, supervision of staff, budgeting and program administration.
- 2-3 years electronic medical records project management experience or related hands-on experience in implementing network wide Electronic Health Record; 2-3 years EMR implementation experience in a hospital and ambulatory based facility preferred

Summary: Kitchen/Nutrition Staff at McCallum Place provide knowledge and expertise in food safety,
meal preparation, and presentation. They ensure meals and supplements are portioned according to
guidelines and treatment procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately portions meals, supplements and snacks, per written specifications, to meet requirements of patient’s meal plan. Provides alternative meal options under the direction of RD to meet special dietary needs of patients with food allergies or intolerances.
- Follows principles of safe food handling and preparation techniques at all times and ensures that these are practiced by all staff who assist with food preparation.
- Maintains inventory (receiving and rotation of stock) at McCallum Place facilities.
- Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and equipment at McCallum Place facilities.
- Provides direction to staff regarding problem solving around portion sizes, meal substitutions, and other nutritional concerns.
- Completes all paperwork required for daily shifts.
- Demonstrates the ability to organize and complete assignments.

McCallum Place, a hospital for the treatment of eating disorders, is seeking a motivated Food Service Manager to join our dynamic leadership team. Ideal candidates will have an experience in hospital food service management and nutrition. Candidates must have flexibility in work schedule and be available to work on weekends. The ideal candidate should demonstrate professional conduct, concern and respect toward all patients, families and co-workers as public representatives of McCallum Place. Time management, organization, and communication skills are vital to this position.
Summary of work: Manages the hospital foodservice program in a single site according to policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements. Provides leadership, support and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines and patient therapeutic meal expectations are met. Maintains records of income and expenditures, food, supplies personnel and equipment.
Principle Tasks including but not limited to:
- Supervises, coordinates and evaluates work of all foodservice employees in preparing and serving food, and cleaning facilities and utensils in a production kitchen.
- Conducts planning and budgeting.
- Manages a cost-effective program.
- Forecasts and plans the purchase of food, supplies and equipment.
- Participates in menu planning in conjunction with the Registered Dietitian.
- Maintains required records including food production, inventory, income/expense, meal counts and personnel records.
- Ensures that established sanitation and safety standards are maintained.
- Oversees and participates in the preparation and serving of food.
- Demonstrate skill in motivating and supervising foodservice personnel.
- Exhibits general knowledge and understanding of nutrition, hospital foodservice experience preferred.

Reports To: Manager of Clinical Services
SUMMARY: Provides direct IOP patient care to maintain each patient’s physical and psychological safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Upholds and enforces patient’s privileges in accordance with their treatment plan, IOP and program guidelines.
- Provides accurate and ongoing assessment of IOP patient’s status, responds to and communicates this appropriately.
- Provides one-on-one assistance to IOP patients in crisis.
- Accurately documents in shift progress notes and nutritional flow sheets.
- Dispense medication in accordance with policy. Ensure vital signs and weights are completed.
- Participate in facilitation of IOP groups and meals as scheduled.
- Attends to the nutritional and dietary needs of the patients. Provides support, redirection, and monitoring at meals.
- Coordinate with co-IOP therapist and dietitian regarding specific patient needs.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, concern, respect and compassion toward all patients, families, co-workers and the public as a representative of McCallum Place.
- Maintains appropriate boundaries with patients. Uphold patient’s confidentiality and respects patient’s rights.
- Demonstrates the ability to organize and complete assignments.
- Possess a valid driver license and ability to safely drive the McCallum Place minivan.

- Coordinate with co-IOP therapist to provide coverage for days off and illness as needed.

Volunteers
Due to the confidentiality of our patients as well as HIPAA privacy, we cannot accommodate volunteers in our clinical operations. In addition, we do not allow tours of our treatment center. We do, however, have volunteer opportunities for involvement in NEDAwareness Week that takes place during February of each year as well as the annual St. Louis NEDA Walk.
