Multisite Anorexia Research Study at Washington University

Updated at January 27, 2010 13:19

Free Family therapy for teens with Anorexia Nervosa (AN).  To be eligible, families with an adolescent age 12-18 years old with a diagnosis of AN will be randomly assigned to one of four treatment groups. To date, this is the largest National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) funded AN research study.  The study will examine two forms of family therapy: Behavioral Family Therapy (BFT) and Systems Family Therapy (SFT). Both treatments have been established as effective treatments for AN. Participation in the study is entirely voluntary and includes family treatment, medication, and medical monitoring. For more information, contact the Project Coordinator at 314-286-0076 at Washington University.
